tag responses: you sheng: hope that nov camp will be much better :) DD: NEVER call me that. anty:good point, but although we cannot judge a person, we can judge their actions. for example, Hitler's massacre of Jews is a devious action while Gandhi freeing India without violence is a good action. secondly, we have enough evidence to support our views on these people. like we know lots of hitler's atrocities and ganhdi's good deeds. we can form a judgment on their character. BUT the judgment is not and never will be accurate.
hmmmmmm, which makes me think that actually we are not judging people by their virtues, but by their actions instead. But actions can be misleading, thus they are not as good as the virtues, which are quite constant in one's life. is it because that we cannot judge by virtue, then we settle for the second best--the actions? like i have said, these judgments are and never will be accurate, judging is a useless process which will get us nowhere. However, it seems that is human to judge and we cant avoid it anyway....
acceptable? :) any more thoughts pls bring them up, will be more than glad to think about them!
